Starting draft. These terms are a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review them before a wider release.
1. Who we are
Deewanji (“the app”) and this website are made by the owner of Deewanji (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at shilparts@gmail.com or +91 94143 50390.
2. Licence and price
When you pay the one-time price (currently ₹800 in India or US$9.99 elsewhere), you get a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the app, for personal or work use, on computers you own or control, including all future updates we release. The app, its name, design and code remain ours. All rights are reserved. You may not sell, rent, share, redistribute, modify or reverse-engineer the app or its installer, or remove its notices, except where the law allows it.
2a. Refunds
If the app does not work on your PC, tell us within 7 days of paying and we will refund you in full.
3. Early version
The app is an early version. It may contain mistakes, may miss or misread information in your files, and may change or stop being offered. Always check its findings before relying on them, and keep your own backups.
4. Your files and data
Your files stay yours. The app reads them on your PC and does not send them to us. See the privacy page.
5. Optional AI drafting
If you turn on AI drafting, you use your own Anthropic API key. Text you choose to send goes to Anthropic and is covered by Anthropic's terms and policies, and any charges are between you and Anthropic. You are responsible for what you send and for checking what comes back.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of data, profits or business, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the app or this website.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
